When we live with an attitude of thankfulness for the abundant grace that God consistently pours into our lives, we must make space for others to flourish as well, knowing that we have been the recipients of abundant grace many times over.
Does God ever think about what I've done for him? Hebrews 6 has some words of comfort.
We all agree that gratitude matters, both in developing it in ourselves and in teaching it to our children, but gratitude is caught more than taught. So as Christ teaches us to express gratitude in all circumstances, may our children learn the same from us.
We follow in the footsteps of Jesus when our service to others flows from a humble, grateful heart, and we also experience the joy of serving from love and not obligation.
