As Christians, what we do matters. But if our actions are motivated by anything other than our identity in Christ and our love for him, then we're in danger of making the story about us rather than pointing back to Him.
Even Christians who know the truth can find themselves with blurry spiritual vision. While our faith is not solely dependent on us, we need to be intentional about living from intimacy with Christ, not from the ease of familiar habits or routine.
As Christians, we are promised a beautiful future, an eternity of dwelling with God. What a blessing to know that this future is not dependent upon us or our works, but rests solely on the finished work of Christ!
What a beautiful gift is the grace that convicts, brings repentance, and makes us more like Christ through the slow, steady growth of transformation!
